At one juncture, he was contracted to transport a package acquired from Navarro to a community near Death Valley. Following the completion of the delivery, Jószef left the area, unaware that the package contained detonation codes transmitted to multiple pre-War nuclear missile silos beneath the region. Subsequently, the trapped missiles erupted underground, causing the destruction of the community and transforming the area into the Divide.In the year 2281, Jószef was among six messengers commissioned by the Mojave Express at the behest of Robert House to deliver packages to the New Vegas Strip. Unbeknownst to Jószef — now being known as courier 6 — at the time, his involvement stemmed from a previous candidate's refusal, prompting him to personally take on the job upon realizing he was next in line. Of the six messengers, Courier 6 carried the sole item of value — the platinum chip. While passing near Goodsprings, the Courier fell victim to an ambush orchestrated by Benny, the renegade leader of the Chairmen, and a hired group of Great Khans. Benny's attack rendered Courier 6 unconscious, during which the platinum chip was pilfered. Courier 6 was then transported to Goodsprings Cemetery and regained consciousness after the Khans had finished preparing a grave. Benny delivered a brief speech, attributing Courier 6's fate to bad luck, before attempting to murder him by shooting him in the head twice. Despite being buried, Courier 6 managed to survive long enough for Victor, a Securitron under Mr. House's control, to dig him out. Doc Mitchell, the resident doctor of Goodsprings, subsequently operated on the Courier and monitored his recovery over the ensuing days.

This ruthlessness extends to his dealings with Caesar’s Legion, towards whom he harbors an open hostility. Its lethal touch left no doubt of its dire nature. Endeavors to uncover the genesis of this toxic mist proved futile as the Mojave found itself isolated. Amidst the enigmatic haze, the illumination of HELIOS One pierced through, amidst tales of specters impervious to mortal weaponry, wielding beams of ethereal luminescence to fell any who crossed their path.The denouement of the Mojave saga unfolded as a modified REPCONN rocket collided with Hoover Dam, unleashing a crimson miasma that claimed the lives of all who stood sentinel there. Despite valiant efforts to breach the ominous shroud and reclaim the Dam, both the NCR and Legion eventually acquiesced, deeming the locale accursed. As time wore on, communities across the West withered under the creeping advance of the Cloud, encroaching upon territories held by the NCR¹. Amidst this desolation, only two figures persevered, ensconced within the heart of the ethereal mist, within the confines of the Sierra Madre, biding their time for the dawn of a new era.  HONEST HEARTS   Thus unfolded the resolution of the strife between the New Canaanites and the White Legs, the intercession of the Courier proving pivotal in tilting the precarious equilibrium of power. The Courier departed from the annals of the tribes of Zion, reemerging amidst the gathering tempest of the Mojave Wasteland.

  LONESOME ROAD   Courier 6 traversed the expanse until he once more stood upon the precipice of the Divide, the ultimate path he would tread ere the commencement of the second struggle for Hoover Dam. At his very feet lay a parting token, a final bequest from one courier unto another — a footlocker, harboring a treasure and a missive. Yet, the contents of that missive — reserved solely for the brethren of the Couriers — spoke volumes, resonating with the echoes of bygone epochs that flickered in the lights strewn across the Divide. For in those flickering lights lay testament to the persistence of the chronicles of yore, infusing the present with significance profound and enduring.  OLD WORLD BLUES   As it was in the epochs preceding the cataclysmic Great War, the enclave of Big MT, known colloquially as the Big Empty, emerged as the abode of one of the foremost intellects of the 23rd century. The Courier, who had been drawn into the enigmatic embrace of the Big Empty, ascended to the mantle of its supreme sovereign, harnessing its formidable resources with unwavering resolve and calculated precision as circumstances dictated. At times, the pursuit of Science transcends mere exploration, evolving into a potent instrument to be wielded by those possessing the fortitude to comprehend its depths and wield its power in service of their ambitions.
